Tie a Yellow Ribbon explores the world of the psychology of Asian American women, telling the story of Jenny Mason, a Korean woman adopted by an American family. Estranged from her family due to a childhood indiscretion with her white brother, she moves to New York City. There, she searches for a life she can call her own, and ultimately, find her identity as Asian American.
