Year: 4th
Major: NPB + French
Favorite Film: Les Choristes (2004)
Reason joined AAAFF: I wanted to get more involved in the API community, and showing my activism through promoting film and other media was something new and interesting to me.
What Asian stereotype you break: I don't play an instrument, I'm not good at math, and I can't speak any Asian language.

Year: 3rd
Major: Human Development + Sociology
Favorite Film: Independent and foreign films have more heart. Documentaries have more information to change your perspective. However, certain mainstream movies can capture your mind. It's impossible for me to choose just a one.
Reason joined AAAFF: Culture can be expressed through film. I think all Asian Americnas should take the initiative to learn about their own cultures. The Asian American culture is underrepresented, so I think along with learning about ones culture, each Asian American should help educate others about culture and issues that face Asian Americans.
What Asian stereotype you break:
I'm not good at math.

Major: Psychology and Art Studio
Favorite Film: James Cameron's Avatar
Reason joined AAAFF: Becoming a part of AAAFF will provide personal growth in knowledge and perspective for myself. More importantly, I believe that the AAAFF can provide the audience, particularly the local Davis community, with more cultural knowledge and a broader world perspective. Thus, it would be an honor for me to be part of this event that is meant to enlighten and inspire.
What Asian stereotype you break:
I don't know any martial arts... or do I?
